Introducing
the new
Digger Splitter
Check out our latest addition to the
Diggerbus Fleet. The Digger Splitter Van! Take a close look, it is not
what it appears to be. This is not your everyday 15 Passenger Van but
we intentionally made it look that way to assist with the disguise! This
is our version of the popular 'Splitter Van', the Splitter design is utilized
thru out the UK and greater Europe and is extremely popular. It provides
the added stowage internally with in the Van itself and is sectioned off
for added safety and security. We made this 'Splitter' unique to the North
American market and it reflect's design innovation not found anywhere
else in the US or Canada and is available only from your friends at Digger.
What makes it so special?
The Digger Splitter is set up to carry 6 to 8 persons in comfort with
a compartmentalized security stowage area with the Van itself. Take a

1.) It looks like any other passenger Van? It's suppose to silly, any
average passer by would pay this vehicle no mind as it appears no different
then all the other Vans across America. This bonus is a HUGE security
asset. How many times have you read about equipment being stolen from
bands on tour. With the Digger Splitter the rear passenger and exit windows
are completely blacked out, but they appear the same, no one can see in
the stowage area of the Van itself. What they can't see, they cant know
is in there, the deception is complete.
2. Why not just break the window to get into the stowage? They could but
take a look at the interior shots, that's steel re-enforced security caging
over the rear windows and the actual enclosed stowage compartment is 3/4
inch full slab plywood, not recycle board. We also added a 'hockey puck'
lock to the rear doors, no stronger lock is available or more difficult
to circumvent.
3.) SAFETY!!! The stowage compartment is sectioned off from the passenger
compartment and provides a barrier between the traveling party and the
gear stowed inside. No more sliding gear as you apply the brakes or shifted
dramatically into the passenger compartment..
4.) Convenience, you can stow a full backline, (backline's vary greatly
so we provided a traditional rock backline as an example) personal bags
and even throw in the a merch box or two all internally. Take a look at
all the gear outside the van and then packed in the stowage compartment.
You still have room leftover! Also small bags and case's are easily stowed
underneath the forward two bench seats.
5.) Power Vs Mileage, the FORD E-Series 350 V-8 Van, is the vehicle of
choice for the Digger Splitter and offers the best power to gas mileage
ratio in its class. Don't let those new Euro style Vans fool you. The
Euro style vans lack the engine power. They are set up for Urban short
haul driving duties delivering package's door to door, not day in, day
out hard highway touring miles.
6.) Ease of Use can't be beat! No more trailer hassles, the added secured
stowage reduces the need to pull a trailer, easier to operate and saves
on fuel!
